Series NCA1 medium duty tie rod cylinders are NFPA interchangeable, have a crimped piston rod assembly, are pre-lubricated and available in 11 mounting styles. Bore sizes range from 1.5 to 4 inches. The NCA1 expanded line of medium duty cylinders has bore sizes ranging from 5 to 8 inches, while the heavy duty range is 1.5 to 14 inches. The single rod model is available in 22 mounting styles.
SMC's NCQ8 series is a square body, compact interchange type cylinder that allows close center to center mounting. Mounting of the auto switch is easy and is mountable on multi-sides. Use of the retaining ring method improves maintenance performance. Replacing seals is easily obtained by removing the collar.
Series NCM stainless steel cylinder offers space savings, high performance, and interchangeability with other stainless steel cylinders. A wear ring extends the seal life and a bronze rod bushing is standard on all bore sizes. The NCM is available in 4 mounting styles (front nose, double end, rear pivot, and block mount) as well as double rod and spring return or spring extend models. The NCM is auto-switch capable without any change in cylinder dimension. Bore sizes range from 7/16" to 2" and standard strokes from 1/2" to 12".
The C85 series conforms to ISO 6432 and CETOP RP52P. The C85 is available in bore sizes 8mm through 25mm with standard strokes ranging from 10mm through 300mm. A unique rod packing design prevents entry of dust and the effectiveness of the seal is such that the C85 is suitable for use in extremely dusty environments. With abrasion resistant packings and replaceable piston rod seals, the C85 offers exceptional service life.
The C76 series air cylinders offer a simple, space saving design with high dimensional accuracy, making these cylinders very easy to use. Large spanner flats on the rod and head covers greatly simplify their installation and positioning. Low friction and the standard elastomer cushion rings allow piston speeds up to 1500mm/sec. Greater side loads are allowed due to the close tolerance of the piston rod in the front-end bush.
The C95 is ISO, VDMA24562 interchangeable, and utilizes a tie rod construction. In addition to standard cushions, wear band, the C95 utilizes a "floating" cushion seal design that greatly improves operation.
Series C96 cylinders conform to ISO 15552. The series is available with a single or double rod in 6 bore sizes from ø32 to ø125mm. High accuracy covers and tie rod nuts improve mounting accuracy and extend the cylinder life. Increasing the precision of the bushing and piston rod, as well as reducing tolerances, has decreased the deflection of the piston rod. Standard strokes range from 25 to 800mm.

SMC's CG5-X6011 series is a NFPA mounting interchangeable, stainless steel cylinder, perfect for use in wash down applications such as food processing machinery requiring intense cleaning. The use of non-toxic additives allows confident use in equipment for foods, beverages and medical products, etc. The CG5-S can be disassembled, allowing replacement of seals, which promotes an extended service life.
