Core Products 1

Objectives:

The objective of this course is to give SMC sales staff, along with other sales channel partners, a well-rounded understanding of SMC products including features, benefits, selection, and part number selection.

Since it would be impossible to cover SMC’s entire line of over 10,000 products in three days, the concentration will be on SMC’s more traditional product line (strategic products).  This is achieved through interactive exercises that will prompt the student to evaluate an application, identify appropriate component variations to suit the application, and generate required part numbers.  As a result, the students will develop a level of comfort navigating catalogs and selecting products that will carry through the entire SMC product line.  Suggested pre-requisites:  SMC Introduction to Pneumatics or equivalent experience.

Core Products 2

Objectives:

The objective of this course is to give new SMC recruits along with other sales channel partners a well-rounded understanding of SMC’s secondary core product line. Elements such as features, benefits, construction, operation, applications, model number generation, and other aspects will be presented. In addition to covering Z, K and mainstream products not covered in ACP I, other more-often overlooked products that fall within the actuator, valve, and air treatment groups will be explored in more detail. Suggested pre-requisite: SMC Applied Core Products - I (or equivalent experience).
