IO-Link Compatible Products
SMC has several products with IO-Link connectivity. IO-Link is the first standardized IO technology worldwide (IEC 61131-9) for the communication with sensors and also actuators. The powerful point-to-point communication is based on the long established 3-wire sensor and actuator connection without additional requirements regarding the cable material.

ISE20B-L Pressure Sensor
ISE20B-L is a digital pressure sensor supporting the IO-Link communication protocol. When paired with an IO-Link master, measured values, and settings can be accessed from the HMI screen of a PLC. ISE20B-L incorporates IO-Link version 1.1 and COM2 speed. 16-bit process data include 2 switch outputs, a diagnosis bit, and 13 bits for measured pressure value. The 3-screen, 3-color display shows the instantaneous reading in red or green, and the setting label and its numerical value in orange. ISE20B-L is UL/CSA, CE and RoHS compliant, with an IP65 enclosure rating.
ISE70/71 Pressure Sensor
This next generation ISE70 pressure sensor provides continuous quantitative values, as well as switched digital outputs when pressure set points are met. This sensor is also IO-Link compatible. Sensor information, such as identity, functional state, cable connection, and current or switch values can be set or monitored remotely though an IO-Link master, and connected to a fieldbus network. The ISE70 is designed for abusive environments that may also include splashed coolant, lubricants or grime. Electronics are packaged in a metal housing, while the piping connection is a stout lug with female threads, which together protect the sensor against accidental collisions with other objects in the area. A smooth display face with membrane type buttons avoids contamination from grit and sticky residue that could clog or jam raised rubber buttons. The display is angled and can rotate 336 degrees, to permit easy reading when indirectly mounted. The main screen shows instantaneous values in red or green, while the sub screen setting appear in orange. Switch indicators will also light when set points are reached.
ZSE20B-L Pressure Sensor
ZSE20B(F)-L is a digital vacuum sensor with IO-Link communication protocol support. When paired with an IO-Link master, measured values, and settings can be accessed from the HMI screen of a PLC. D-MP Actuator Position Sensor
Actuator stroke position sensor is an analog output over the entire length of the stroke. The D-MP is available in 4 measurement ranges. Unit is IO-Link compatible.
PF3W7-L, Digital Flow Switch for Water IO-Link
Series PF3W7-L digital flow sensor constantly monitors water or coolant flow. "L" models are IO-Link compatible. These sensors also have the "Z" designation for redesigned piping adapters, imparting a 13-53% weight reduction depending on flow range. PF3W7-L features an integrated 3-color, 2-screen display. Options include a manual flow adjustment valve and temperature sensor. The main screen displays instantaneous flow value in red or green, while the white subscreen can show temperature, the switch set point, accumulated or peak/bottom value, or a line name. The display rotates in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, offering improved readability during operation. When paired with an IO-Link master, values and settings can be accessed from the HMI screen. PF3W7-L incorporates IO-Link version 1.1 and COM2 speed. 48 bits of process data include flow and temperature values, switch outputs, and diagnostics. Both IO-Link data and switch outputs can be read over the M8 or M8-to-M12 cable. PF3W7-L is IP65 rated, and is both RoHS and CE compliant.
PF3WR, Digital Flow Sensor Manifold
PF3WS and PF3WR are remote, separated versions of the manifold. PF3WR is the return path and includes the sensor. The 1" main return is oriented at 90° to the flow paths, and can flow through or be closed on the opposite end. 3 flow ranges are available, with up to 10 stations on the smaller two ranges, and up to 5 stations on the largest. Flow adjustment and stop valves are optional and will match on every station. Sensor features are identical to the stand-alone PF3W-Z. IO-Link compatibility is also optional. PF3WR is IP65 rated, and CE and RoHS compliant.
PF3WS, Digital Flow Sensor Manifold

ISA3-L Digital Gap Checker
The ISA3-L is an IO-Link compatible version of SMC's ISA3 digital gap checker. A gap checker uses air pressure to verify the presence and proximity of a workpiece. Applications include confirmation of raw material placement before machining or other fabrication operations, or the correct seating of a component into a jig or fixture to trigger the next assembly sequence. ISA3-L includes features like 2 sensors detect supply and outlet pressure, to help determine whether and where this is a clog. NPN or PNP switch type is selectable electronically. The sub-screen has been divided into 2 screens, to display more information or finer resolution. The lower limit of the setting range can be extended down to zero. IO-Link communication expands functionality. Gap size, supply and outlet pressure are available as 16-bit integers. 6 bits and settings monitor 2 switch outputs. 2 additional bits are available for pressure and error diagnosis. Settings can be stored by the IO-Link master to copy automatically when replacing or deploying multiples. ISA3-L is CE and RoHS compliant, with an IP67 enclosure rating.
PSE200A, Multi-Channel Digital Pressure Sensor Monitor
PSE200A is a pressure sensor monitor with an informative, easy to read 3 screen, 3 color display. Connect up to 4 PSE series remote pressure sensors, then select a channel to view the sensor’s measured value on the main screen. Alternately, the range input function can scale any 1-5V signal from another sensor type to a display value from -1500 to 1500. View a variety of secondary data on the sub-screens, including switch set point value, level meter, character string for labeling and more. Check differential pressure between CH1-CH2, or CH3-CH4. Additional functions include anti-chatter, error codes, power saving, key lock, security code and others. This monitor is also IO-Link compatible for viewing measured values, diagnostics and switch output status of all channels. Internal hardware and applied pressure errors can also be indicated. Parameters set on the monitor can be reset by the IO-Link master if a new monitor replaces a damaged or failed one. PSE300A is CE and RoHS compliant, with an IP65 front face when panel mounted (IP40 otherwise).
EX260, SI Unit
EX260 series is a compact and cost effective fieldbus solution for output applicable to SMC's most popular directional control valves such as New SY, SV, VQC, and S0700 Series. It can control up to 32 solenoids in one manifold. Available protocols are EtherNet/IP™, PROFINET®, EtherCAT®, PROFIBUS DP®, DeviceNet™ and CC-Link. EX260 series has standard dual port connectivity to eliminate the need of switches or branch connector, reducing wiring and component cost. IP67 enclosure rating ensures protection against dust and washdown environment.
JXCL1 IO-Link Step Motor Controller
The JXCL1 is a single axis controller for LE's 24VDC step motors compatible with IO-Link fieldbus protocol. Actuator motors can be operated by calling a line of step data or by direct numerical instruction, each possible over the network. Futher fieldbus compatible functions include return to origin, alarm outputs and resets, parameter setup, status monitoring, and trial runs.
