The Air Management System is available in two basic configurations that vary by the standby regulator used. The A type utilizes the electro-pneumatic regulator while the B type uses the manual type standby regulator. Both types include an isolation valve and can be configured as remotes (SA) or as fieldbus connected bases (EN, PN). The hubs have an extra IO link port for connection to additional devices that can communicate through the system.

Custom Add-On Profile (AOP) for RSLogix™ 5000 are available for EX250, EX260, EX500 products. AOP enable users to easily configure SMC fieldbus products with Logix based PLC.

Air cylinders are used to provide straight-line, in/out linear movement for a variety of applications. Available as single acting (spring extend or spring return actuators) and double acting styles with single rod or double rod configurations, non-rotating, and precision non-rotating models.

Rotary Actuators come in two types: Rack and Pinion and Vane style. Rack and Pinion rotary actuators are designed to turn heavy loads and provide high torque output. Vane style rotary actuators are ideal for applications that require rotational motion less than one revolution. They can mount right at the equipment joint without taking up space with long stroke lengths, which would be required to do the same job with a linear cylinder. SMC's pneumatic rotary actuator units can achieve arc lengths of 90°, 180°, 190°, or even 270°, depending on the configuration.

With coalescing filtration, SMC’s upstream main line filters remove contaminants as fine as 0.1 microns. Some filters can remove aerosol state oil mist, up to 0.01 microns for precise, clean, dry air for the most efficient use in pneumatic systems.

SMC offers a variety of hydraulic cylinders are available in compact, round body, JIS or tie-rod types. Nominal pressure ranges from 3.5MPa to 16MPa. Bore sizes are available, depending on the series, from 20 to 160. Auto switches are available on most models.
