IP65 IP67 Protection Class
The LEY rod type electric actuator is available in two specifications for improved ingress protection. The X5 option is IP65 dust and drip proof. The X7 option improves to IP67 dust-tight and water jet proof. The X8 option includes IP67 protection as well as a battery-less absolute encoder. For DC motor models, the specs are achieved by enclosing the motor in a sealed aluminum cover with a special cable connector, and pairing the rod with a scraper and lub-retainer. Additionally, the body extrusion includes a vent hole and fitting to balance internal pressure so that dust and water are not drawn in.
LEY-X5 Rod, IP65 Dust/Drip Proof, Incremental Encoder
The LEY-X5 is designed for environments where protection against dust and water splashes is necessary. It meets IP65-equivalent standards and uses a protective motor cover and specialized seals to prevent ingress. Driven by a 24VDC motor, this rod-type actuator supports strokes up to 500 mm and offers a reliable, low-maintenance solution for automated processes that require basic environmental shielding.
LEY-X7 Rod, IP67 Dust/Waterjet Proof, Incremental Encoder
The LEY-X7 offers a higher level of environmental protection than the X5, featuring an IP67-rated enclosure that allows the actuator to withstand temporary immersion and high-pressure water jets. This series includes a seal connector and a venting system to manage internal pressure fluctuations, preventing moisture from being drawn into the device. It's built for heavy-duty applications where the actuator is exposed to liquid or fine particulates.
LEY-X8 Rod, IP67 Dust/Waterjet Proof, Battery-less Absolute Encoder
The LEY-X8 is a heavy-duty electric rod-type actuator specifically engineered for harsh industrial environments. This IP67 rated model incorporates a 24VDC motor equipped with a battery-less absolute encoder. It includes specialized features such as a sealed aluminum motor cover with metal connectors, a rod scraper with a lube retainer, and grease supply holes for easy maintenance. It maintains the same high-load performance as the standard LEY series while offering robust protection against liquid and particulate ingress, making it an ideal choice for wash-down or high-debris automation applications.
