Adaptor & Cup-Lateral Entry
ZPX, ZPY and ZP2 series vacuum cups are ideal for heavy weight material or objects with a large surface area. The lateral vacuum entry available with or without buffer. The versatile design can be used for a wide number of applications. The variety of cup material and designs give great freedom to the designer when solving application problems. Using special materials in the cups such as conductive materials that help ensure static discharge further broaden their uses.
ZP Lateral Entry
The ZP series is an optimal solution when vertical clearance above the cup is restricted and standard top-port adapters would force damaging tube bends. By incorporating a lateral vacuum port into the adapter body, this series eliminates the need for external right-angle elbow fittings. The design removes potential leak points, reduces overall stack height, and lowers payload weight on automated end-effectors. With the ZP's extensive selection of pad materials and shapes, engineers can standardize on a single adapter design family across an entire facility while customizing only the cup material and profile for specific workpieces.
ZP2/ZPX Vacuum Cups
The ZP2 series addresses high-load, non-standard, or rugged material handling challenges. It provides high shear-force resistance during rapid acceleration and deceleration and features specialized pad geometries, such as heavy-duty ribbed flat pads for oily sheet metal, deep bellows for curved or uneven parts, and non-rotating adapters. The lateral port adapter allows a larger diameter, thick-walled vacuum hose to route horizontally without kinking, maintaining maximum airflow rate and vacuum hold-force under heavy mechanical stress.
ZP3E Lateral Entry
The ZP3 series is tailored for high-speed, high-density applications where every millimeter and gram counts. Its compact adapter footprint and side-entry tubing connection allow multiple cups to be mounted side-by-side without air line interference, making tool-plate design significantly cleaner and more efficient. The integrated lateral port lets air lines run flat along the mounting plate, preventing tube binding inside tight cable carriers and delivering instantaneous vacuum response for fast cycle times.
