Modular Platform Fieldbus System EX600
The EX600 serial interface offers a full suite of diagnostics and programmable parameters to meet the most stringent requirements. The EX600 offers excellent flexibility including digital input, digital output and analog input unit options. With the use of D-sub output blocks, a maximum of 9 remote D-sub manifolds can be attached to one EX600 communication module. This serial interface is compatible with series SV1000/2000/3000, VQC1000/2000/4000, S0700 and the new SY series valves. Available protocols include PROFIBUS-DP®, DeviceNet™, CC-Link, Ethernet I/P™ and EtherCAT®, PROFINET, POWELINK and CC-Link IE Field™
EX260 series is a compact and cost effective fieldbus solution for output applicable to SMC's most popular directional control valves such as New SY, SV, VQC, and S0700 Series. It can control up to 32 solenoids in one manifold. Available protocols are EtherNet/IP™, PROFINET®, EtherCAT®, PROFIBUS DP®, DeviceNet™ and CC-Link. EX260 series has standard dual port connectivity to eliminate the need of switches or branch connector, reducing wiring and component cost. IP67 enclosure rating ensures protection against dust and washdown environment.

By neutralizing static electricity, our bar style Ionizer prevents damage to work pieces caused by sticking. Static charge removal time can be reduced with an optional sensor that directly senses charge allowing the removal of static electricity at high speed (0.3s) by generating the appropriate ion polarity. Needle cartridges can be replaced quickly to reduce down time. The bar style Ionizer is available in various lengths to meet the specific needs of your work area.
Electric Actuator Controls and Drivers
Controllers and drivers needed for our electric actuator family. You will find step motor, servo motor and card motor controllers as well as 24VDC Fieldbus gateway units and AC servo drivers.
Electric linear actuators can push, pull or transfer workloads in a distinctly different way from pneumatic actuators. Pneumatic actuators rely on relatively crude devices such as rubber cushions or shock absorbers, pressure regulators, and flow restricting fittings at the port to control their motion. By contrast, an electric actuator employs an electronically controlled motor and ballscrew to deliver a precise motion profile through acceleration, speed and deceleration. Further, the controller is capable of integrating multiple ‘stop’ positions along the actuator's stroke with high precision and repeatability.
Series ITV electro-pneumatic and electronic vacuum regulators control air/vacuum pressure steplessly in proportion to an electric signal. They are light weight in design with a bright and easy to read LED display. The monitor output is available either as analog output or switch output. The ITV series is IP65 equivalent.
Electro-Pneumatic Regulator with Ethernet IP
Series ITV is an electro-pneumatic regulator that controls air pressure with an electric signal. This EtherNet/IP version, designed and built in SMC's North American headquarters, now includes a 2nd generation chipset with new features and upgrades. The new design is CE and UL certified, while also meeting the ODVA specification. The IP address can now be set with a DIP switch. An integrated 2-port switch, Quick Connect, and Device Level Ring allow this ITV to operate in typical manufacturing network topologies. If the installation requires more than one regulator, the ITVs can be daisy chained. Power over Ethernet is available for up to 5 units. The new dynamic web page design includes pressure settings and feedback in engineering units. Gain and sensitivity can also be adjusted. Expanded fault diagnostics and alarm enable quicker troubleshooting for reduced downtime. In the event of a lost connection, the regulator holds the set point pressure to maintain the machine's operation.
Actuator Position Sensor with IO-Link
Actuator stroke position sensor is an analog output over the entire length of the stroke. The D-MP is available in 4 measurement ranges. Unit is IO-Link compatible.
Digital Gap Sensor
The ISA3 is a unique sensor that uses air pressure to verify the presence and proximity of a workpiece. The placement of raw materials can be confirmed before machining or other fabrication operations. The correct seating of a component into a jig or fixture can generate a switch output to trigger the next assembly sequence. ISA3's new display quickly and clearly summarizes workpiece status for the operator. Establish the switch point in 3 easy steps. Lower air consumptions, zero exhaust noise, easier wiring, and excellent anti-clogging measures round out this 3rd generation gap checking device. ISA3 is CE and RoHS compliant, with an IP67 enclosure rating.
Digital Gap Sensor with IO-Link
The ISA3-L is an IO-Link compatible version of SMC's ISA3 digital gap checker. A gap checker uses air pressure to verify the presence and proximity of a workpiece. Applications include confirmation of raw material placement before machining or other fabrication operations, or the correct seating of a component into a jig or fixture to trigger the next assembly sequence. ISA3-L includes features like 2 sensors detect supply and outlet pressure, to help determine whether and where this is a clog. NPN or PNP switch type is selectable electronically. The sub-screen has been divided into 2 screens, to display more information or finer resolution. The lower limit of the setting range can be extended down to zero. IO-Link communication expands functionality. Gap size, supply and outlet pressure are available as 16-bit integers. 6 bits and settings monitor 2 switch outputs. 2 additional bits are available for pressure and error diagnosis. Settings can be stored by the IO-Link master to copy automatically when replacing or deploying multiples. ISA3-L is CE and RoHS compliant, with an IP67 enclosure rating.
Digital Pressure Sensor with IO Link
This next generation ISE70 pressure sensor provides continuous quantitative values, as well as switched digital outputs when pressure set points are met. This sensor is also IO-Link compatible. Sensor information, such as identity, functional state, cable connection, and current or switch values can be set or monitored remotely though an IO-Link master, and connected to a fieldbus network. The ISE70 is designed for abusive environments that may also include splashed coolant, lubricants or grime. Electronics are packaged in a metal housing, while the piping connection is a stout lug with female threads, which together protect the sensor against accidental collisions with other objects in the area. A smooth display face with membrane type buttons avoids contamination from grit and sticky residue that could clog or jam raised rubber buttons. The display is angled and can rotate 336 degrees, to permit easy reading when indirectly mounted. The main screen shows instantaneous values in red or green, while the sub screen setting appear in orange. Switch indicators will also light when set points are reached.
